Why is it that people seem not to learn from the past? Some seem to simply forget, others to not see the similarities to past events. And while the new media is called "social", it is not. It builds information bubbles one easily gets caught in. And from all those places your brain gets stuffed with useless and often faulty or invented information that makes one dizzy. It's important to not rely on one source only, and it is also important to identify and silence all the noise and listen carefully. Like you should on tonight's edition with joyful but rather ambient music given in tracks by Robert Rich (Space Camp), Altus (Echo Bloom), Stefan Erbe (LemGo - live on EC-Festival), Conny Olivetti (A Longing for Rural Peace), Ótal (Fjöður), Peter Phippen & Eric "the" Taylor (Two By Twilight), Volker Rapp (Silent Running), Ian Craig (The Four States Of Matter: Liquid Volume 1), Cousin Silas & Ramón Sánchez (Cousin Silas & Friends Vol. 9 Pt. 10).
So the January has already gone and we're on fast feet moving towards the Schallwelle prize-giving. You should check the website for available tickets, as they are selling quickly this year. And now that the votings are closed for 2012, it's time to catch up with some releases of the latest month. Tonight it's all about ambient music, and of course we have some of the finest on this episode. Tune in and enjoy an extra large show with marvellous tracks by Ambient Circle, Apollonius & 33 Tetragammon, Michael Brückner, Ran Kirlian, Tange, Telegraphy, and Walter Roos.
The Schallwelle votings are close to their ends, you should not miss out on making your voice count, too. But tonight's show is not about the ballots, it's about recent and brand new releases. 2012 opens really hit this year, so don't you miss these albums presented on this episode of syndae in form of tracks by 4T Thieves, Bernd Kistenmacher, Projective Module, Stefan Erbe, and Tidal Force.
So 2012 is taking up speed music wise. The Schallwelle awards votings are in their final 10 days, and there are not many public tickets left either. Tonight I have tracks from the laureates of the special awards given to individuals who rendered outstanding services in electronic music, Johannes Schmoelling and Uwe Saher (Brainwork). And, of course, new enigmatic releases are on the menu as well, this time with tracks by Carboneids, Global Express OSC, and Weldroid.
Hope you missed the show! Back on schedule wishing you all the best for the New Year, welcome to the first edition of syndae in 2012. And we start off with some brand new material tonight not narrowed to a specific style, presenting tracks by Ambient Anonymous, Das Kraftfuttermischwerk, and The X-Structure. And finally, if you didn't know, yet, it's time for the German Schallwelle awards. Voting is open and you'll get a great track of Frank van Bogaert as a dainty on him playing live at the Schallwelle event.
Is it just me or has 2011 passed very quickly? However, it was a great year musical vise, bringing lots of pleasure to my ears with many, many releases in electronic music and related genres. Reflecting upon the year, syndae had broadened its fields quite a bit, and I of course hope you liked the increased diversity in styles and sounds. Well, now it's time for taking a rest. As a closing episode, like in the past three years, I am happy to present another two-part special featuring great artists with great tracks especially made or provided for christmas time. Lots of fine songs await your ears for listening well, with more than an hour of pleasing music in the family edition and another more than 40 minutes of slightly more challenging tracks in the mature edition. I would not like to miss any of these fabulous contributions kindly given for your fun only by BatteryDead, Cousin Silas, Glenn Main, Happiness in Aeroplanes, Janne Hanhisuanto, Kebu, Klangzaun, Michael Brückner, Michael Shipway, Nothing New Music, Psicodreamics, Remy, Steen Jorgensen, Synth.nl, Uwe Reckzeh, Von Haulshoven, WaveWorld, and Wounds.

The goal of syndae is to make aware of fine electronic music, by providing enjoyable episodes with well known and not yet well known artists from around the world, and to promote events of the electronic music scene, by dedicating episodes to selected artists of such an event. Host of the show is Stefan, an enthusiast of electronic music, who likes to spread the word and sound of synth.
