Do you watch Youtube? I mean, I recently find myself spending quite some time watching channels on the platform providing various kinds of infotainment. Like the channel by Guy Michelmore, who teaches composition and does live composing. Or the LockPickingLawyer, who shows how he picks locks and debunks them being unpickable. Or the German channel on tv series and films by Ren Kühn. Or some science channels explaining the complex world of how science works and its findings. Or the German equivalent to Writing Excuses named "Schreibdilettanten" (writing jacklegs). Or, recently, the intros to American late shows by Fallon, Kimmel and Colbert. So, well, do you watch Youtube as well? Or is that old fashion? Let me know about the channels you cannot stop visiting in the comments. Oh, besides channels I do watch music videos, too. Of course, mainly electronic and ambient music. Many artists and labels I have on the show do have Youtube channels. Like several from this edition.

I'd say this week was full of good vibes. How did you experience the past days? It reads and looks like greater parts of the world took a deep breathe. I'm not going into political stuff, it's just the feeling I got when reading news and watching talk show videos. Well, let me know in the comments. On the other hand, with tonight's edition we have great new music that follows the inheritance of the 70s and 80s of the past century. Call it Berlin School or Krautrock or Ambient. It simply is hypnotic and mesmerizing music to be heard with pleasure.

Is this already the third edition into 2021? Oh yes, it is. Amazing how times passs by. And the start of the year already had some crazy happenings. The past week was very busy at work for me, and it was very easy to decide upon this edition to feature ambient music to peace out. With such a show, I always try to not disturb its serenity with me talking, but this ain't become a mixtape. So I hope you don't mind me interrupting you from time to time with some information about the artist and album. If you want the full relaxation afterwards, please go for the artists' and labels' pages to get hold of their music for your own playlists.

It is so common to wish anybody luck for a new year. Maybe other things as well, like happiness, but luck is the most common I think. But what is luck? Is there such a thing as luck? Or is it just a sequence of events and circumstances that presents one as a positive outcome? I am sure there are plenty philosophical books on this topic, and maybe some biology books as well explaining what hormones make a human experience to have luck. Is feeling lucky a consequence of having luck? If so, we have a lot of luck because of the many great artists around composing such beautiful electronic music as to be heard on tonight's edition.

It is done. Another year is gone. A strange and memorable year, for sure. Well, no immediate change to be expected with the simple fact of us raising the number to 2021. But we are looking positive and hopeful to the coming time. Aren't we always? Of course, there is hope to be able to have music events again in the near (or somewhat near) future. And fear not, there will be great music to be heard at least on all the fine podcasts and radio shows out there, for example with the orgy of great tunes you will get tonight on this brand new edition number one for 2021. As a change of heart, it will be a bit more energetic than planned. A worthy start into the coming 365 unwritten days of the year.

So that is it. Here we have the final episode of syndae podcast for 2020. And it was quite a busy year musical wise, which saw lots of cool and great releases and some interesting developments in online eventing. Of course, this edition is no exception to the rule, having again several brand new albums to be presented. But it also provides tracks well fitted for the upcoming holidays. Whatever you celebrate at this time of the year (or maybe just enjoy a more quiet time), I am sure the tracks you get tonight will support to peace out of 2020.

Sometimes a view is all it needs to make one stop and relish the world around us. Especially, if it is a view of the extraordinarity of nature, may it be a landscape, impressive rocks, or a wild field work well for me. I think it is always worthwhile to sometimes stop and simply take everything in. Well, old and modern architecture works for me, too. Anything, which pleases my eyes and gives me wonders. And the same holds true for sounds. I simply love impressive soundscapes, may it be of quiet and delicate matter or powerful melodic rocks and aural paintings. What about you? What makes you hold your breath and relish your environment? I think, tonight's edition will give you some space to do so. Relaxing but mind tickling chill out and related compositions are ahead of you listeners.

From day one on, Bernd Scholl aka moonbooter was present on syndae. By that time, nobody could imagine how long this podcast would last. And now its edition 550, and we still have thes how, and we still have Bernd as regular guest. In tonight's special edition, we will talk about his brand new album, about his label, the situation for him and artists in general in these demanding times and more.

Yay, it's Black Friday! So what could I give you for this money saving day? Hey, I give a 50% rebate on this episode. So you will get one hour of fantastic music with only half as many talkovers than usual for free. Isn't that something? Oh, well. Are you on shopping tour today? Hunting the best sales deal out there? So, I was curious, where the phrase came from. It seems rather mundane to refer to the massive crowd that built up on the day after Thanksgiving, opening the Christmas shopping season. No interesting story in there, really. What is interesting though, and actually exciting, is the excellent music you will find on this edition.
